30 Days of Content Ideas for Artists Who Hate Posting

The problem isn't laziness
Every artist I've worked with who "hates posting" actually hates one specific moment: deciding what to post. Remove the decision and the hate mostly evaporates. So here's a month of decisions made for you, organized into four buckets you can rotate forever: Process, Person, Performance, and Participation.
Don't post all thirty in thirty days if that pace breaks you. Three or four a week from this list beats seven a week for ten days followed by silence.
Week one: Process
- Day 1. The voice memo that started your newest song, played over a photo of where you recorded it.
- Day 2. Screen-record yourself muting and unmuting layers of a beat so people hear it build.
- Day 3. A lyric that changed. Show the old line and the new one, and say why.
- Day 4. Your workspace, honestly. The mess is the point.
- Day 5. A fifteen-second clip of you fixing one bad note. Before and after.
- Day 6. The song you almost gave up on, and the moment it turned.
- Day 7. Ask: which of two mixes sounds better? Actually use the answers.
Week two: Person
- Day 8. The three songs that made you want to make music. No explanation needed.
- Day 9. An unpopular music opinion you'll actually defend in the comments.
- Day 10. What you were doing five years ago versus today.
- Day 11. The worst advice you've been given as an artist.
- Day 12. A photo dump from your week with one-line captions.
- Day 13. Answer a question a fan actually asked you. Credit them.
- Day 14. What your last song is really about — the version you didn't put in the bio.
Week three: Performance
- Day 15. The chorus, live to camera, one take, no cuts.
- Day 16. The same chorus, whispered or stripped down. Different energy, same song.
- Day 17. A cover of a song your audience wouldn't expect from you.
- Day 18. Your song over footage of your city at night.
- Day 19. The bridge — the section nobody posts and everybody remembers.
- Day 20. A duet or reply to another small artist's video. Generosity travels.
- Day 21. The first song you ever wrote, performed with mercy for your past self.
Week four: Participation
- Day 22. Let followers vote on your next cover. Do the winner within the week.
- Day 23. "Finish this lyric" — post half a line, use the best reply.
- Day 24. Ask what they're going through right now. Just listen and reply.
- Day 25. Share three small artists you love. Expect nothing back.
- Day 26. Repost fan content, however small. One story counts.
- Day 27. A poll: which unreleased snippet should come out first?
- Day 28. Thank ten people by name for something specific they did.
Days 29 and 30
Repost your two best performers from the month with new captions. Repetition is discovery.
One practical note: batch the performance week in a single session. Recording in an app like Volmix and exporting straight to your platforms turns seven posts into one afternoon of work. The calendar looks heavy; the effort doesn't have to be.
